Dear Oremus Family,

I watched "The Passion of the Christ" at a pre-screening of the film in November. It affected me very much. It affects me now, still. I feel His Passion very deeply. It writes a story on my heart. Perhaps you understand? There are really no words to describe, how much. I love Him. I am sorry for the what He endured, and what He endures, because of my sins and the sins of all mankind. I am guilty. We are guilty.

He is so good! So brave! So tender. The yes He said then, to endure such a terribly hard thing, is the yes He says NOW to us all. The yes is now. He IS now. The very same Jesus! His Love is now, close as a heartbeat. Yes. I love you.

So let's say yes back. I love YOU, to the King of Kings. I love You, Brave Brother. I love You, Jesus. Beloved Jesus. Beloved.

One day, after I saw the film, I had this BIG GIANT desire to draw the Face of Jesus. It was during the holidays and our house, with all the kids (we have nine) and the rest of the family, was of course lively and loud. And here I had this big desire to draw! (!!) So I retreated to our bedroom. Within 40 minutes, this portrait emerged. It was a surprise to me and beyond my capabilities.

I give it to you as a gift, friends, just as it was given to me.

We love You. We love You. Thank You! Make our hearts Your Own. Please, that Your Holy Will be done through us. Please. We need You. Our hearts are in need of You.

Our world needs You, sweet Jesus. Please, guilty as we are, unworthy that we are, please send Your Holy Spirit to change and renew us, and to change and renew the world. Please bless this film, Your Story, The Passion of the Christ.Please work in a new way in all that will see this movie. Be a Miracle Worker, Friend. Be Who You are! Miracles to abound. Grace to flow. Frozen hearts to melt, because of You and Your Story. Please bless in a very special way those that made the film.
