Dearest Oremus family,
In this holy season of Lent, let us turn our hearts back to Him, to thank Him and praise Him. Let us pray! Oremus!
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Jesus,
Thank You for Your Cross
Jesus,
Thank You for the Gift of Your Cross.
Jesus,
We are not worthy of You.
Please forgive us, Lord.
Help us to be new.
To love You, put You first in our hearts.
Jesus!
You are the King of our hearts.
We love You, Praise You, Adore You!
You are Jesus!
Beloved.
Amen.
Thank you, dear family. Pray for me, and I pray for you!
Love,
Mary

PRAYER STATUS REPORT ON
ROE V. WADE AND DOE V. BOLTON
We want to express our deep appreciation to all of you who have
been praying to reverse Roe v. Wade. On February 22, the Supreme Court
announced that it declined to accept the petition to reverse Roe v. Wade.
This does not mean that Roe was reaffirmed, nor does it mean the Court
rejected our arguments. They simply declined to hear the case at all,
which has no precedential value, but does allow Roe v. Wade to continue as
law.
We have grieved (at least some of us) because our hopes were so
high, but we do not lose heart. We will not give up the fight. Psalms
37, 74, 75, and Romans 8:23-30 have encouraged us greatly. Our hope is in
the Lord and the unseen victory to come. Isaiah 28:14-22. Thank you for
your continued prayers and messages of encouragement for us and Norma
McCorvey, the Roe of Roe v. Wade.
One day later, on February 23, the judge in Doe v. Bolton, the
companion case to Roe, finally ruled on our Motion to Reconsider at the
trial court after eleven months of waiting. Now we will appeal that case
to the Supreme Court which should take from one to two years. The
evidence and arguments are similar, but hopefully we will have a different
and better Supreme Court when we get there.
We could file a Motion for Re-Hearing in Norma's case within 25
days if there were some major change or development in law or facts, but
that is not likely. Her case seems over, but Doe can reverse both Doe and
Roe because they are companion cases.
Norma is doing OK and now says the focus has to be on Sandra
Cano's case, Doe v. Bolton. The ladies of Operation Outcry: Silent No
More will continue to speak out about the harm of abortion and healing
through Jesus Christ.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Praise God for His timing and His promises.
- Pray for continued encouragement for Norma, Operation Outcry: Silent No More (www.operationoutcry.org) and The Justice Foundation, and for resources to continue the battle (which praise the Lord He has provided.)
- Pray for the Justices of the Supreme Court.
- Pray for Doe v. Bolton to be used to reverse legalized abortion on demand in America!
- Pray for our effort to reach pastors and churches with the message that love and forgiveness need to be offered to men and women who have participated in abortion and for repentance and revival in the Church. The witnesses of the Lord's healing need to be able to share their testimony in church.
- Pray for the success of our trip to Israel March 11th through the 25th to proclaim the abolition of abortion and the end of the covenant with death (Isaiah 28:18) and the establishment of Operation Outcry: Silent No More worldwide.
The prayer effort is led by Mary Therese Martin Weyrich, a devoted mother of nine children and Your Catholic Voice volunteer. She has a personal commitment to and has led others to intercessory prayer, devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and service to the Church.
