Dear Friends,
I went on a pilgrimage, October of 2000. I felt called to go and didn't know exactly why! One thing led to another, (as is often the case when Our Lady calls), and I was able to slip away from my family and responsibilities at home for four days. I joined many pilgrims, following the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Southern Texas, praying from the heart for the end of abortion.
The pilgrimage was led by Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life. There were Rosaries, and Holy Masses, with clear pro-life preaching, processions and many other gatherings.
The first night of the pilgrimage, I stayed in the home of a kind widow. Settling into her spare room, tired from travel, I fell to sleep. I had a dream. It was vivid. Never have I had such an experience! I saw this: an evil, bad, bad man, holding a dead baby, looking at me, with hate in his eyes. Showing me a dead baby, jeering. Very scary. Very real. He was real! I awoke with a start, afraid. Help, Lord. Help! Then I prayed the precious Name of Jesus.
The next day, I told Father Pavone about my experience, and asked for his blessing, knowing with confidence, without a doubt, that the blessing of a good and holy priest is stronger than the evil one. Father prayed over me, blessed me. I was not disturbed anymore! I told no one else of the dream and began to pray, even more.
The last night of the pilgrimage, we were having a happy dinner with some new friends from the pilgrimage. One of the friends, Anthony Carnesi, said to Father Pavone, "Father, I feel like I am a postman and I have to deliver a message. May I tell you a story?" Father said, "yes, please do."
Anthony said, "Father, I had a dream. I saw an evil man. He was holding a dead baby, looking at me. He was cutting the baby up for parts and selling them."
Anthony and I had the same dream, the same night. We were complete strangers.
Anthony said that he was so shook up that he had to write - a poem - which became the song

Anthony died January 29, 2005 of cancer. He recorded the song not long before his death, adding the verse "speak out when I'm dead."
Will we?
Sincerely,
Mary Therese Martin Weyrich
